Our History

Every cranberry born in southern Chile is the result of a vision that became a story of perseverance, commitment and hard teamwork. More than three decades ago, an entrepreneur named Warren Simmons founded the company with the purpose of cultivating this exceptional fruit with the most modern technology applied.

This initial period demanded continuous learning and great efforts to achieve the necessary conditions for this plant, never before cultivated in Chile, to fully develop in these lands. In 1997, Gordon Swanson assumed the leadership of the project, facing an enormous challenge, taking actions that made it possible to achieve the first production and results objectives. Fernando Casari joined the company as General Manager in 2010, boosting international marketing.

In 2013, the company closed a transaction with the cooperative Ocean Spray, to whom it sold its industrial assets, maintaining the ownership of the fields and becoming its farmer-owner. Since 2014, Cran Chile is the exclusive representative for the marketing of Ocean Spray Ingredients products in South America.
