After facing various challenges in the season, we reached the final number of 570,141 barrels harvested – the equivalent of 25,885 tons of fruit!
It is a very special harvest, given that we had a very complex, very difficult year. We suffered a hail storm in 2 of our 7 fields, causing damage to a large amount of fruit, and consequently reducing its quantity. Additionally, the cold was very intense during the pollination season – when the fruit blooms, which made us have doubts about this year’s results. We believed that we were going to have lower numbers.
Facing the difficulties, we decided to reinforce the number of bees in order to optimize the pollination. Later, in the summer season we were very careful with irrigation and temperature control so that the fruit was not affected by the high temperatures during February and March – months when the fruit grows.
With no doubt, these actions were fundamental to close this season with great results! Cheers to the whole team.
Let’s go for more!
